Overview
The Yas Marina Circuit is the second F1 racetrack in the Middle East, the first being located in Bahrain. The construction began with the groundbreaking ceremony on May 2007 and was opened to the public in October 2009.
Design
The circuit is known to many racers as one of the most challenging racetracks and one with many overtaking opportunities. The 5.5-kilometre long racetrack has 21 corners and the longest straight extends up to 1.14 kilometres. The expansive circuit also has massive viewing areas that can comfortably seat up to 41000 spectators.
Racing Experiences
If seeing an F1 race event is not enough, you can get a chance to drive one of them and you can do this during the off-racing seasons. Visitors can choose from purpose-built Yas 3000 formula cars to Aston Martin GT4s. The circuit also features a drag race track where you get to drive a Chevrolet Camaro SS.
