Suzhou Industrial Park, a splendid technological highlight

The charming city of Suzhou is always an interesting place to visit. An excellent accommodation choice in this attractive metropolis would be Suzhou apartments such as the Citadines Xinghai Suzhou. This appealing rest offers comfortable accommodations and welcoming hospitality.

The meticulously conceived Suzhou Industrial Park is a modern industrial complex which is a collaborative project undertaken jointly by China and the government of Singapore. This well-positioned industrial compound is situated on the banks of the picturesque Jinji Lake, a beautiful body of water which is located near the Old City of Suzhou.

The Suzhou Industrial Park was envisaged as a hub for cutting edge technology driven industrial endeavours. Considerable guidance from Singaporean technology providers and management specialists has been incorporated in the design and development of this world-class industrial complex. The guiding philosophy of the park is human oriented development highlighting technological development, economic progress and the overall harmony that should exist between man and nature.

This vast compound extends over an area of no less than 288 square kilometres, and is envisaged to house a resident population of more than one million inhabitants. A joint Chinese and Singaporean management committee meets each year to formulate policies and initiatives with regard to the industrial park.

The primary industrial sectors featured at the park include automobile assembly as well as production, aeronautical and aviation products, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, computer software, processing of food and beverage products, industrial instruments and equipment, telecommunication equipment and medical products.

The Suzhou Industrial Park also offers a number of attractions that will draw the attention of tourists as well as residents. Many interesting cultural presentations, musical concerts and other entertainment features are regularly organized at the park. You will also have the opportunity to savour delicious Chinese and international delicacies at numerous restaurants and cafes located within the compound. The area bordering Jinji Lake has become a focus for recreational activities and social interaction.
