Albion Comedy Club and Restaurant features hilarious stand-up comedy and attracts a wide cross-section of comedians week-in, week-out. With great food and laidback atmosphere, it is an ideal place to have some fun and with 6 performers each night, there is bound to be something to cause side-splitting laughs. Want something different? Head over there on Thursdays and Fridays and enjoy hypnosis shows that will leave you enthralled, though you never know what the audience may be “made” to do! 2. The Sit Down Comedy Club
While it may be known as the Sit Down Comedy Club, you can enjoy a hearty laugh no matter the position be it sitting, standing or rolling in the aisles! A favourite haunt amongst comedy lovers, the venues features comedic talent the whole year through. Jim Jefferies, Dave Callan, Umbilical Brothers, Judith Lucy and Trevor Noah are just some of the names that have performed here and with up and coming talent also featured you have the chance to hear some fresh comedy too. 3. The Brisbane Powerhouse & Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC)
These are in actual fact two venues which not only host comedic acts but a whole host of other performances from dance to theatre and music to visual arts. The line-up changes from month to month so your best bet is to head online and see if there are any comedic acts that you can catch during your stay in Brisbane. The atmosphere may be somewhat different to clubs and pubs, but the laugh out loud moments are the same!
