Built to honour the memory of a Moroccon scholar by the name of Ibn Battuta, this mall is a marvel that is known not just for its shopping opportunities, but for its structure too. This scholar is known to be a great traveller of wisdom, and the various themes in the mall are dedicated to his life of travel.
Walking in
The mall is home to more than 250 stores, 50 restaurants, luxury hotels, play zones for children, a 21 screen cinema and much more. A day would not be enough to enjoy everything the place has to offer. Staying at Avani Ibn Battuta Hotel Dubai or at a similar Marina View Dubai hotel will make it easier for you to access the mall without much ado.
When to visit
The mall is open every day and can be visited at any time of the year. The best time to get the greatest deals is during the Dubai Shopping Festival. This event happens from December to February. Keep in mind that the mall can be highly crowded during these months, thus if you want a lazy shopping day at the mall, better avoid these times.
Dining
There are various cafes and food joints in the mall that lets you taste everything from Italian food to Indian and more. They offer a good break from all the walking too.
