Doha has something for everyone! Exploring Doha on foot allows you to unlock hidden gems that pass by too quickly from a car window, so keep reading!

Mina District

If you’re looking to travel back in time, located at the old Doha port, you’ll find the Mina district. Lined with pastel-coloured buildings inspired by coastal heritage, a stroll in this area is indeed delightful. Walking its quiet walkways reveals boutique fish markets, hidden seaside cafes, and stunning vantage points.

Souq Waqif

Walk through the alleys of heritage in Souq Waqif. A quick journey from a place like Al Najada Doha Hotel by Tivoli, you’ll quickly be immersed in exploring the maze-like alleys of the Souq. Explore the hidden spice shops or watch artisans perfect their craft, as every corner in Souq Waqif has a surprise waiting for you.

The Corniche

If you’re in Doha for a family staycation, there’s no better area to explore on foot than the Corniche, a seven-kilometre waterfront promenade. On one side, you’ll find the modern West Bay skyline, and on the other, traditional wooden dhows sitting on the Arabian Gulf. This is perfect for an evening with kids.

Msheireb

A little walk from the Souq is when you’ll stumble across Msheireb, Doha’s sustainable downtown regeneration project. Its pedestrian-friendly streets are architecturally designed, lined with trendy cafes, art spaces and minimalist design. Walking through this area offers a stark contrast from other parts of Doha!
