One of the most beautiful attractions in Dubai, the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo is a must-visit for every tourist visiting the city, especially for families with kids. The aquarium offers a rare chance to look at the most enchanting marine creatures in an enclosed place. What’s more, Dubai Aquarium is the biggest aquarium in the world.

Feed the sharks

This is one of the most unique and thrilling things you can do here at the aquarium. You can participate in the shark feeding encounter or watch divers draw sharks with buckets of fish. If you decide to participate, don’t worry, the guide will make sure no harm comes to you.

Snorkelling

Feeding the sharks is too dangerous for you? Then you should go for cage snorkelling. This is a safer way to explore the marine life displayed at the aquarium. Once you have your snorkelling gear on, you will get into an enclosure and snorkel around the aquarium.

Other things to do

In addition to snorkelling and feeding the sharks, you can also dive with sharks and explore the underwater zoo that’s home to a variety of marine animals, including crocodiles and penguins.

Getting here

The Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo is quite easy to find. It is around 20 minutes by taxi from Avani Ibn Battuta Hotel Dubai and almost every one of Sheikh Zayed Road Dubai hotels. While you can get your hotel to arrange transport for you, you can also get here directly from Dubai International Airport by metro.

Entrance fee

For UAE residents, entrance is AED 90, while tourists need to pay AED 400 per person; a family pass, however, is AED 1,200. Apart from the entrance fee, you need to pay separately for activities.
