A night to remember in Kowloon

At night the atmosphere takes on the aspect of a carnival as people spill outdoors and roam the streets and there’s a range of music venues, restaurants and pubs to explore and find one’s own place. There are the upbeat restaurants, the ‘anything goes pubs’, the chic jazzy clubs, and always those pubs with some spectacular views over the city.

One of the promising places to be if you cannot do without either a splendid view, great dining or clubbing is the Aqua Spirit. Perched atop a tall building, this consists of a restaurant- The Aqua Roma and Aqua Tokyo and one storey higher the club – Aqua Spirit. See the city laid out like a glistening pattern of sparkling jewels all around you with the 360 degree glass pane. The Tsim Sha Tsui East promenade also offers superb waterfront walkways that give ravishing views of the city shimmering with its neon lights.

If night shopping is more to your taste, and that includes bargaining, the Temple Street Night Market is the place to be if you want to browse through a range of attires, cosmetics, footwear, cookware as well as accessories and also get to collect some great bargains if you are prepared for the effort.

Reminding of its days under the British, Kowloon is generously sprinkled with British pubs and these include Bull and Bear, Jockey and The China Hand to name a few. If one wants to find some quiet piano music amidst the maddening crowd they can find their way to the Great Wall at Sheraton Hotel, The Gun Bar in the Hong Kong Hotel and the likes. Groove to a range of toe tapping music at the live music venues such as Ned Kelly’s Last Stand or enjoy some Jazz/ Rock at Rick’s Café.

Enjoy some more of this fabulous city by staying over at one of the luxury hotels in Hong Kong. Located within easy reach of many city attractions, The Langham Hong Kong charms travellers with its timeless elegance combined with 5 star luxuries. With an array of restaurants, exotic bars, a range of leisure options and fitness facilities, this is one Hong Kong hotel that can gratify the wishes of even a fastidious traveller.
