Lesotho War Memorial
One of the outstanding historical attractions in Maseru is the eye-catching Lesotho War Memorial at Makoanyane Square, which honours soldiers who lost their lives during World War II. One of the captivating things to do in Lesotho is to visit this memorial; you will see that it takes the form of a curved wall featuring bronze panels that is surmounted by a bronze crocodile.
Thaba Bosiu
Another not-to-be-missed historical attraction is the renowned Thaba Bosiu, which is situated in proximity to Maseru. This site was the famed stronghold of King Moshoeshoe I during the 19th century; it is believed that over the course of nearly 40 years, this fortress was not breached, even after many attacks.
