Wat Pho
Spanning across 80,000 square metres and housing the grand reclining Buddha statue, Wat Pho is an iconic temple in the city. You’ll find it next to the Grand Palace, and once you step in, you’ll discover a collection of over 1000 Buddha statues and more than 90 stupas.

Wat Phra Kaew
Also known as the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Wat Phra Keaw is an important symbol of the Thai king’s power. The sacred Emerald Buddha statue certainly adds to the temple’s grandeur, as do the many murals and paintings featured in its 2 km gallery.
Wat Benja
With outer walls made of Italian marble, this temple is every bit as beautiful as it is spiritual. As one of the quieter temples in the city, it is an ideal spot for calm contemplation, especially when you enter the assembly hall filled with several Buddha images.
