Lan Kwai Fong

Party the night away!

On a visit to Hong Kong, anyone looking for the best entertainment district to have a fun night out or simply for places that have the best dining options should head to the colouful district of Lan Kwai Fong. It boasts more than 100 restaurants, bars, clubs and shops clustered around one place, offering a dynamic and diverse choice of palate-tickling goodies and entertainment that hard to come by anywhere else in the city. The location close to the CBD is convenient for after-work drinks, dinner with friends and family, or for a great night out in general.

The area took off in the 1980s with the opening of the California restaurant that offered casual dining combined with dancing into the wee hours of the morning. Now, diners are presented with the greatest culinary choices to tease their taste buds, from award-winning restaurants to informal dining that dishes up a tempting smorgasbord of food options not available elsewhere. This is definitely the place that everyone wants to head to after dark or at any other time of day. Pubs and sports bars, some open throughout, offer the widest possible collection of beers, and some of the most imaginative cocktails shaken up by bartenders who boast their own signature pouring rituals. Even the trendiest night spots are here. Rub shoulders with local celebrities and hipsters as they do their thing to funky music spun by international DJs.

Special events like the Lan Kwai Fong Beer and Music Fest, Lan Kwai Fong Carnival and fun events for Halloween, Christmas, New Years’ Eve, Lunar New Year, Valentine’s Day and a post rugby fest provide something new to be savoured and enjoyed all in one easily accessed convenient area. The Lan Kwai Fong Carnival, held in mid November, is the city’s largest and most exciting street fest, a Mardi Gras-like event with scantily clad dancers in exotic head gear, the biggest selection of beverages of any kind, interactive games, sporting events, street parades and arts and crafts. These are fine opportunities to party right through the afternoon till late into the night. Naturally, Friday and Saturdays nights are the busiest at Lan Kwai Fong with traffic jams so thick that roads have to be closed to traffic and given over to pedestrians. The facilities in this concentration of fun and games are continuously upgraded to provide even better experiences for the crowds that gravitate to the area.

When you’re all partied out, sink into the luxury confines of The Cosmo Hotel which is a stylish option of a Hong Kong boutique hotel that is designed to provide the best room configurations to suit the needs of modern corporate and leisure travelers. Take advantage of the great promotions at this quality 4 star Hotel Hong Kong to enjoy facilities and amenities at great prices and to have easy access to the city’s shopping, dining, entertainment, and business areas.
